A single practitioner, Mr. Koppelman is a former prosecutor in New York City with more than twenty-five years experience in all phases of criminal law.  He has successfully practiced, as a criminal defense lawyer, in the state courts of New York, Florida and Mississippi and the federal courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the Eastern District of Wisconsin.  On the appellate level he has won reversals of convictions in New York States' Appellate Division and Court of Appeals and in the Supreme Court of the United States.
Securities Arbitration

For the past several years, Mr. Koppelman has also been engaged in securities arbitration.  Originally representing stock brokers against complaints from their customers,  he now appears on behalf of investors seeking redress for the fraud or misfeasance of stockbrokers.  Recently, he obtained a multi-million dollar award in arbitration against a major New York brokerage firm held responsible for the criminally fraudulent conduct of one of its vice presidents.
